We have an idea to celebrate the art work of people in Tottenham by taking on one of the many vacant shops on Tottenham High Road and holding a series of post lockdown exhibitions.
During Lockdown Hannah and Amelia (collectively a theatre company - The Ding Foundation) made sculptures and drew, finding that focussing on creativity was a welcome release from the situation we have found ourselves in. See a couple of examples below. We think that other residents of Tottenham (both artists and not) will have done the same.
If you or others you know, of any age, have made interesting things (painting, film, music, photos, drawing, poetry etc) during this period we would love you to come on board with this idea, and see if we can get an exhibition together that is really inspiring for the local community.
Hi sara. Thats a good idea! Good luck with the Art Walk this weekend, Unfortunately i don't think I'm gonna be ready to get my pictures sorted in time to add them to something near me, but maybe this could be the first of more that could include other streets/roads/areas in the future? Let's keep in touch. And have a lovely time....I'll hope to make it down there on saturday.
We could feature some works from the South Tottenham Art Walk perhaps. It's a great idea!
